Honey
Motoshi worked as a beekeeper for 3 years in Japan and after immigrating to New Zealand in 2005, he commenced work for a NZ master beekeeper for six years to learn NZ beekeeping. He finally found a place where he could work and live with his family and started his own beekeeping business in 2011.
Motoshi owns about 200 beehives in North Canterbury, as an artisan beekeeper, taking pride in completing every procedure;
from rearing his own queen bees to looking after every single beehive, honey extracting, honey packing and sales to customers at the Ohoka Farmers Market as Bell Trees New Zealand Honey. The final product is a result to be proud of, Motoshi (and his bees) produce quality honey, quality raw honey ready for you to enjoy with your family and friends.
What is Raw Honey?
Raw honey is honey that has not been filtered or heated in any way, and it is the most original sweet liquid that honeybees produce from the concentrated nectar of flowers or dew from trees. It's the beneficial live enzymes found in raw honey that make it so digestible to humans. Collected straight from the extractor; it is totally unheated, unpasteurized, unprocessed honey. Processing of honey also filters out many vital phytonutrients found in raw honey, products that exist in nature in the hive.
